Character Background

Iya grew up sheltered. Unlike many Raen, she was not born in the Eastern Lands. Her story of origin begins in the wilds outside of Ishgard, where she was adopted as a refugee of other Raen escaping the horrors of the Dravanian Lands during the rise of Ishgard and the Dragonsong War. Her memories of this time are hazy, but she has not been back to Ishgard since the ending of the war. Her past is guarded, and only those she knows well will uncover those scars.Her upbringing leads to her rather hesitant demeanor when it comes to adventure and discovery, and perhaps she lets opportunities go to the wayside. Nevertheless, Iya's friendships and close ones matter the most to her, and she will jump into action to defend them from anything, words or otherwise.Despite her (usual well-dressed) frame, she does not stand above many in terms of height, or size, even that of other Au Ra. Her tail, however, is immense in comparison to her body size. Even the majority of male Au Ra have tails smaller than Iya's.For those who are knowledgeable of the void, she has knowledge of the "Shards of Eitherys", as well as memories of a civilization long vanished from history. Even Iyashina doesn't know how or why she has possession of such information, and she hopes to uncover the reason she was chosen to have this knowledge...

Iyashina's Hooks

-Iyashina has incredible knowledge of the land, much learned throughout her studies. Perhaps she can lend some aid to an adventurer?
-What's with that purple eye of hers? Perhaps there's more to her than an initial glance would provide. Should you find yourself in her inner circle, you may discover the reason..
-Albeit rare, Raen refugees in Ishgard often banded together to escape. She found herself in Hingan lands for an extended time as well. Is it possible you have ties to one such refugee? Or perhaps you have a familiar story?
-She is the owner and sole proprietress of the Seagaze Spa & Cafe. It is open on Tuesday and Saturday, and she's always excited to see new faces!
-She has a few secrets. Despite not claiming a title of importance, her knowledge of the arcane and summoning arts has assisted even the highest levels of Sharlayan scholars. Beyond that, she has extensive handiwork capabilities, developed throughout years of survival and relocation.
-Her magical capabilities are impressive, yet she will avoid ever having to show such abilities. While she has her reasons, she would still be a formidable ally should the task arise, especially one requiring such magical prowess.

OOC Information

Thanks for viewing my Carrd! Here's just a few things to know
-I am open to all types of RP, but also reserve the right to withdraw from anything that I do not feel comfortable participating in, and would expect you also feel/do the same. On an additional note, combat or character harm toward Iya would really need to be discussed prior to events, so please let me know what you have in mind! As a warning, I have no intent to perma-death Iya at this time, so requests involving possible perma-death with characters will likely be declined.
-I'm on EST time zone but work early hours generally, most of my RP is going to be cut off by midnight! Unfortunately work is a priority (I also work 2 jobs :c)!
-I unfortunately suffer from chronic migraines, and at some times I am physically unable to move/function for days. RP scheduling can be hazy due to this, but I do my best and just need some patience!
-OOC=/=IC interactions, please keep them separated. If something needs to be clarified, please ask, as I will do the same.
-I'm 21+ and would appreciate that anyone engaging is also at least 18+
-Discord is available, however I don't generally share it right at the beginning of meeting someone. After a few interactions, I'd be happy to invite that conversation! Also, I don't generally RP over Discord, and prefer to leave it in-game.
-Finally, on some personal notes, the player (myself) is a male. I've ran into many instances of others airing their grievances about that. If this is you, I'd rather not engage. This game is the first instance where I was able to express creativity and imagination freely. If you came into this with separate expectations, that is not on me. Thank you.
